HOA-NC will conduct an online survey in January in order to determine your interest in seminar topics and issues.  Look for more information in the Neighbors and Neighborhoods e-newsletter.  The new e-newsletter will be emailed to individuals who have registered and are able to login; as well as association representatives who have maintained their Profile Page in the HOA-NC Directory.

HOA-NC conducted five seminars in late 2005 and 2006 on House Bill 1541 that subsequently became North Carolina law.  Over 1,000 association representatives attended these seminars in five North Carolina cities.

Seminar sessions that are being considered include:

  • Education about new legislation that will be introduced in the General Assembly in 2007 that will once again affect all homeowner associations in North Carolina.  HOA-NC is participating on the Committee that is preparing the proposed Bill.  More information will be provided soon in the Neighbors and Neighborhoods e-newsletter.
  • Training for association board and committee members.
  • Seminars to assist boards with saving money and better management of large capital projects such as paving, painting, and roofing.  The seminars will be conducted by project managers with expertise in preparing specifications and bid packages;  selection of qualified contractors, legal considerations, and project management from start to finish.

Look for more information in the near future.
